The BPM Calories Burned Calculator helps estimate the calories burned during exercise based on heart rate (in BPM), weight, age, and duration of the activity.

How It Works

The calculator uses a formula based on the relationship between heart rate and energy expenditure, adjusted for age and weight: \[ \text{Calories Burned} = \left(\left(0.6309 \times \text{BPM}\right) + \left(0.09036 \times \text{Weight (kg)}\right) - \left(0.2017 \times \text{Age}\right) - 55.0969\right) \times \text{Duration (hours)} \times 4.184 \]

Example Calculation

For a 30-year-old weighing 70 kg, with an average heart rate of 150 BPM during a 30-minute workout: \[ Calories = ((0.6309 \times 150) + (0.09036 \times 70) - (0.2017 \times 30) - 55.0969) \times 0.5 \times 4.184 \] The result would be approximately 285.5 calories burned.

Use Cases

This calculator is useful for fitness enthusiasts and professionals seeking a rough estimate of calories burned during cardio activities like running, cycling, or aerobics based on heart rate data.
